History

By the end of 2005, investment company Reggeborgh started the Reggefiber optical fiber company. The company combines the forces of a group of companies which is mainly involved in the construction, exploitation and management of communication networks, in particular optical fiber networks, throughout the Netherlands.

On 20 May 2008, Reggefiber entered into a joint venture with KPN, where KPN took over 41% of the shares. By the end of 2008, this collaboration was approved by the OPTA (Independent Post and Telecommunications Authority) and the NMa (Netherlands Competition Authority).
